Spider Vein, Varicose Vein Therapy

Spider veins, also known as varicose veins are blood veins which have become enlarged and twisted. They can cause discomfort pyshically and also be a cosmetic annoyance.
They are usually found on the legs, but can also be found elsewhere.
Current treatments including radiofrequency ablation and endovenous laser treatment are slowly replacing traditional surgical treatments.

How are unwanted blood vessels on the legs treated?

A single blood vessel may have to be injected more than once, some weeks or months apart, depending on the size. A number of vessels can be injected in any one-treatment session.

How successful is sclerotherapy?

After several treatments, most patients can expext an 80-90 percent improvement. Fading will gradually occur over months. Disappearance of treated spider veins is usually achieved, but similar veins may appear in the same general area.
