Office Hours

• Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• To make your care efficient and effective, our staff will inquire about your skin problem when you first call the office. We will use this information to schedule your appointment. All patient information is kept strictly confidential.
• Our office adheres as closely as possible to scheduled appointments.
• If you find you are unable to keep your appointment, please give the office at least 24 hours notice so that another patient may make use of your reserved appointment.

Telephone Calls

• If you have any questions about your treatment, we encourage you to call and ask us. We especially encourage you to call if you have any questions about medications or post-operative instructions.
• Our staff and doctors are also available by pager through his office or answering service. When the office is closed, dialing the office number will automatically call forward to the answering service.

Parking

• Free parking is available for all our patients.

Payment and Insurance

• Our office accepts Medicare, Tricare Standard, and Champus Standard assignment and is a participating provider in many local and statewide PPO’s. Please check your insurance handbook for a list of qualified providers. Our doctors are members of the San Diego Foundation for Medical Care. Our office will be happy to file claim forms for the plans in which we participate and for most California insurance companies. If desired we will be happy to supply an itemized statement so that you can submit your claim with ease.
• Cosmetic procedures are paid in advance or at the time of service by cash, credit card, or cashier’s check. Payment arrangements may be available for non-cosmetic procedures.
• The staff in the insurance department will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.

Laboratory Tests and Biopsies

• Laboratory tests and biopsies may be referred to an independent laboratory. The laboratory may apply charges directly to you. Most biopsied specimens of skin tissue will be read and/or reviewed under the microscope by our doctors.

Where is Skin Surgery Medical Group Inc.?

• Our office is located at 5222 Balboa Avenue, 5^th and 6^th Floor, near the northwest corner of Balboa and Genesee in Clairemont.



• From Interstate 5

  If you are heading north, get off at the Balboa Avenue exit and head east approximately 2.0 miles. If you are heading south, get off at the Grand/Garnet exit and make a left at Balboa Avenue and head east. Turn left into the parking lot just before Genesee Avenue. We are located in the building containing the "Balboa Pharmacy."

  From Interstate 805

  If you are heading north or south, get off at the Balboa Avenue West exit and travel approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right into the parking lot just after Genesee Avenue. We are located in the building containing the "Balboa Pharmacy."

  From Interstate 163/15

  If you are heading north or south, get off at the Balboa Avenue exit and head west approximately 2.5 mile. Turn right into the parking lot just after Genesee Avenue. We are located in the building containing the "Balboa Pharmacy."
