LESLIE ALISON MARK, M.D.

Dr. Mark is a physician who is a Board Certified Specialist in Dermatology. She is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases, including disorders of the hair, nails, and mucous membranes. Dr. Mark has special interest in pediatric dermatology and in skin disorders affecting women, such as cosmetic reactions, dermatoses of pregnancy, and vulvar dermatoses. Dr. Mark also is involved in the evaluation and treatment of skin allergies and work-related skin problems. She uses a wide variety of test chemicals to determine the cause of contact dermatitis. Dr. Mark also performs sclerotherapy for leg veins, and chemical peels.

Dr. Mark served as president of the San Diego Dermatologic Society in 1991, and as its secretary-treasurer in 1989 and 1990. She served as president of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery in 1997.

Dr. Mark speaks at many teaching conferences for physicians. In addition, she enjoys lecturing to youth, adult, and senior citizen groups.

Dr. Mark is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a graduate of Stanford University and the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine. She is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine (Division of Dermatology) at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego. Dr. Mark is on the staff at Scripps Mercy, Sharp Memorial, and Children's Hospital. She teaches pediatric and adult dermatology to physicians at UCSD.
